Aiki is the principle of destroying an opponent's will to fight and is short for Aikido, Aikijujutsu or Aikijutsu. Aiki-Budo is any martial art that is practiced as a way of life and stresses the principle of Aiki. It is Aikijutsu practiced as a way of life.
Aikido is a combination of many martial arts and has no form or patterns in the techniques, only the movements of heaven, earth and nature. Aikido aims to eliminate aggression by blending with an attack to reduce and control conflict. Armed with these concepts the student will learn how to avoid conflict when faced with a verbal or physical confrontation in real life.
